Overview
As an AP Specialist, your main responsibility will be to ensure all invoices are approved appropriately and paid on time, maintain the accounts payable system, and resolve complex issues while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. You will report to the AP Manager, based in UOA Shah Alam.
Main Responsibilities
- Process invoices and payments for assigned locations; verify invoice indexing in OCR tool (Flexicapture).
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues (identify, communicate and facilitate resolution) including invoices on hold and parked invoices >
90 days old.
Review aged GRNI (goods received not invoiced) across in-scope APAC locations and perform timely follow up; ensure zero aged GRNI >6 months old.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement related actions.Correspond with internal and external parties and respond to inquiries.Reconcile unapplied pre-payments in supplier accounts to ensure no long-outstanding items.Assist with month-end closing and produce monthly reports (e.g., Supplier Reconciliations, AP Payment Details and other ad-hoc reports).Participate in yearly audits and provide required information from internal and external auditors.Take part in ad-hoc projects and support the implementation of findings and sustainability of achievements.Qualifications
Minimum Degree in Accounting / Finance.At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting field.Good interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin (verbal and written).Accounting / ERP system experience – Oracle, SAP S4 Hana, COGNOS, Abby Flexicapture would be an added advantage.Microsoft Office experience; solid intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI knowledge.Able to work with minimum supervision.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, deadlines, and ability to work under pressure.About Us
