Job Description

Provide on‑site support and manage the reliability contract of mechanical seals for customers in Malaysia.

• Assist and guide seal installation and removal on site.
• Perform on‑site pump / seal initial assessment and inspection.
• Commission seal systems.
• Perform 5‑point checks on equipment prior to seal installation.
• Conduct site tours, identify preventive activities (e.g., monitoring plans, pressure and temperature checks, bearing oil condition monitoring, and general leakage) and implement recommendations proactively to eliminate potential seal failures.
• Co‑ordinate seal activation and tracking.
• Ensure and monitor timely repair of seals.
• Prepare inspection reports and perform failure analysis.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for bad actors in the plant.
• Be responsible for reliability data management, trending, analysis, and reporting.
• Conduct monthly (Alliance Improvement Team) / quarterly / yearly meetings with stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly and yearly reports for external stakeholders.
• Inventory management, optimization, and conduct audits.
• Gain understanding of systematic and chronic failures and develop plans to eliminate root causes.
• Maintain the equipment & seal database and failure history using John Crane Interface Reliability Management software.
• Perform root cause analysis, failure mode assessment, recommendations, and reporting.
• Monitor key KPIs on a periodic basis.
• Understand customers’ needs, review installations, and make engineering proposals to optimize arrangements, quantify benefits, and present proposals.
