Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) — including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Conduct system analysis and design (SA&D) , translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable enterprise applications aligned with business goals and technical standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, UX / UI Designers, QA teams, and IT stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Evaluate and implement Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives to assess emerging technologies and their applicability.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for both internal and external use.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Identify and implement system improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently and maintain system stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology , Computer Science , or a related discipline.
  • 2–10 years of practical experience in software development and system analysis.
  • Proven hands‑on expertise in :
  • Backend : Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring JPA, JWT, OpenAPI
  • Frontend : React (Next.js)
  • Database & Tools : Redis, MariaDB, Docker, Linux
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git, JIRA) and automated testing tools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices .
  • Prior experience in government projects or system integration (SI&I) is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English ; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is an added advantage (not mandatory).
