Requirements

  • Perform preliminary and detailed structural analyses using both empirical methods and engineering software (, , ANSYS).
  • Assist in the preparation of technical deliverables including structural calculation reports, design drawings, specifications, and construction method statements.
  • Conduct basic civil and geotechnical assessments, including soil-structure interaction and foundation design reviews.
  • Participate in the design of marine civil structures such as quay walls, dolphins, jetty trestles, and access bridges.
  • Support the development of bill of quantities (BOQ), material take-offs (MTO), and cost estimates.
  • Prepare technical presentations and summaries for internal and client reviews.
  • Coordinate with drafting teams for preparation and review of design drawings.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards.
  • Perform QA / QC checks on structural calculations and design documentation.
  • Attend internal and external design review meetings as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Hands-on experience with structural engineering software such as : STAAD.ProSACSANSYS (Structural module)
  • Working knowledge in basic geotechnical and soil mechanics.
  • Understanding of structural design principles in offshore and marine engineering.

Qualifications

What You Should Have

We are seeking an Offshore Structural & Civil Engineer to support the design and analysis activities for offshore and nearshore projects, including fixed and floating structures, jetty and terminal civil works, and marine infrastructure components. The engineer will work under the supervision of senior engineers and project leads, contributing to both conceptual and detailed engineering part of the AFRY team, you will be involved in feasibility studies, conceptual design, technical due diligence, and basic engineering across LNG and Offshore wind projects in Asia.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil / Marine Naval Architect Engineering from a recognized university
  • Experience of between 1 to 3 years in civil and marine design
  • Familiar with both local and international design codes and standards, including but not limited to : EurocodeAPI (American Petroleum Institute)ASCEBS (British Standards)PIANCOCIMFOther relevant local or regional standards.
  • Desirable / Added Advantage

  • Experience in mooring system analysis and dynamic response modeling using : OrcaFlexMOSESANSYS AQWA
  • Familiarity with hydrodynamic load modeling, floating structure behavior, and environmental load applications.
  • Involvement in Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT), FPSO, or FSRU projects is a plus.
  • Exposure to metocean data interpretation and application in design load cases.
