Mentioned above are the main responsibilities and requirements for this role. The Lead Teller will oversee staff, work with Western Union customers, and help grow transactions and revenue. The Lead Teller will be responsible for helping with hiring and training staff, as well as leading teams in strategizing how to cultivate branch success.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee 4-5 Western Union own branch locations (Semenyih, Bandar Sunway, Nilai, Shah Alam) but subject to working outstation occasionally if needed.
- Achieve assigned branch targets.
- Map competitors’ rates and service offerings.
- Help hire and train employees.
- Manage the branch’s budget.
- Actively promote new products and initiatives.
- Accountable for managing Duty Roster in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent service for Western Union customers.
- Allocate branch resources as per staff and client needs.
- Liaise between the branch and head office and be the bridge between management and FLAs.
- Manage reports for the branches (e.g., Finance report, WUpos report).
- Solve problems for branch customers and staff by reaching out to relevant departments that can help solve the problems.
- Organize employee engagement team‑building activities.
- Be well versed with company policies.
Role Requirements
5 years of customer service & business development experience (preferably in financial services or retail).An affinity for problem‑solving.Strong communication skills.Flexibility in work schedule.Fluency in English – additional languages are a strong advantage.Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong leadership skills.Analytical skills.Highly organized with time and team management.Benefits
