How You Succeed

What You Do
- Produce application design, architecture and solutions that align with business requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
- Possess good understanding of architecture strategy and roadmap and be able to align design towards them independently
- Able to produce design blueprints and best‑fit architectural solutions for a complete application as well as end‑to‑end design covering multiple interconnected systems and processes
- Update or produce new architecture frameworks and guiding principles for review, possessing a good understanding of why, when and how to apply them
- Possess in‑depth understanding of more than one functional domain and the surrounding processes in Financial Services, able to quickly pick up new domain knowledge (e.g. payments, core banking, wealth, etc.)
- Provide detailed design (sequence diagrams, domain‑driven, bounded context, granularity of microservices)
- Deliver business capabilities and ensure architecture principles are adhered to, conduct design review and define tech stack
- Escalate design and implementation challenges to Architecture and Engineering forums for resolution
- Work hands‑on with development and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of technology solutions
- Provide regular support and guidance on complex coding, issue resolution and implementation / execution

Who You Are
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldAt least 5 years of experience in a technology‑related fieldPreferably 7 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks in Java / J2EE technologiesPreferably 3 years of experience in Microservices architecture, Messaging (Kafka, MQ), Database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MSSQL, etc.)Experience and knowledge of payments or core banking type of application systems will be advantageousPossess experience or strong knowledge in Cloud and Infrastructure setupExceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organisation – written, verbal and visualisationsMust be a team player, able to work effectively at all levels of an organisation with the ability to influence others towards consensus, highly reliable, trustworthy, honest and commitment‑orientedAbility to think strategically and develop innovative solutionsStrong problem‑solving skills and attention to detailStrong situational analysis and decision‑making abilitiesExperience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpointGood experience or strong involvement in thought leadership, proactive and resourcefulWhat We Offer
