This leadership role is the driving force behind the platform's evolution. This is a crucial role that requires both deep domain expertise in brokerage operations and the visionary thinking of a top global platform manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Product Leadership
Vision & Roadmap : Define and champion a multi‑year product strategy and roadmap for our multi‑market trading platform, ensuring it aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements across all supported markets (Bursa, US, HK).
Product Ownership : Serve as the product champion (PIC) for the M+ Global Trading app, middleware, and core back‑office systems, constantly seeking innovative features to drive client adoption and market share growth.Benchmarking : Continuously analyze and benchmark our product capabilities against leading global fintech and platform companies, identifying opportunities for competitive advantage in user experience (UX) and features.Team Management & ExecutionLead the Product Strategy Team : Directly manage and mentor the integrated team (2-3 persons) responsible for Product Development, Project Management and Business Analysis functions, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability and user‑centric design.
Project Delivery : Oversee the successful, timely and high‑quality delivery of all product launches, new feature rollouts and system enhancements, serving as the ultimate accountable driver.Inter‑Office Liaison & Requirements Gathering : Serve as the critical product liaison between the KL Principle Office and the Melaka Office, conducting periodic travel to the Melaka office to facilitate in‑person user requirement collection and ensure alignment across all locations.Cross‑Functional & Vendor Alignment : Serve as the central communication hub and primary interface, actively coordinating with all internal stakeholders (Business, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Marketing), internal programmers / developers and external technology vendors / service providers to ensure all deliveries meet regulatory, business and technical standards.Job Requirements
Deep Brokerage Process Fluency : Comprehensive understanding of the end‑to‑end stockbroking business process flow, from client onboarding and order placement to settlement and corporate actions.Core Application Familiarity : Extensive experience with and understanding of core stockbroking applications, including :Order Management Systems (OMS) : Knowledge of order routing, execution, and monitoring.
Middleware / APIs : Understanding of how data and trading instructions flow between front‑end platforms and exchange / back‑office systems.Back‑Office Systems : Familiarity with the systems managing client accounts, settlement, clearance and regulatory reporting.Professional Experience :Minimum 10+ Years of Progressive Experience : A minimum of 10 years total working experience is required, with a critical focus on the financial domain.
Mandatory Capital Market Focus : At least 5 years of this experience must be specifically within Investment Banks, Stockbrokers, Fund / Asset Management companies, or gained directly by working at Capital Market Technology Vendors (e.g., OMS, Back‑Office or Risk Platform providers) serving the capital market industry.Flexible Financial Experience : The remainder of the experience may come from other regulated Financial Institutions (e.g., commercial banks, insurance) or high‑growth fintech / e‑wallet related industries.Product Delivery Track Record : Proven experience in successfully leading and launching new products, significant features, or system enhancements directly relatable to the stockbroking or wealth management industry.Personal Investment Acumen : Must possess direct investment experience, providing a critical user perspective on trading platforms and financial tools.Personal Character and Leadership Qualities :Empathy : Possesses the ability to truly understand and feel what the client's experience is like, ensuring that our products solve real, high‑impact user pain points.

Established in 1963, we started off as a partnership under Malacca Traders as a small broking firm based in Malacca, which eventually grew and evolved as Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd since 1992.
Since 2012, we have shifted to digital due to the ongoing digitalisation process and started the online trading platform known as M+ Online. Subsequently, we have bagged numerous awards, mainly from Bursa Excellence Awards and Retail Investor Campaign.
