Overview
Reporting to : Group IT Infrastructure Director
Role : Group IT Infrastructure Engineer. Ensure the availability, operation and development of the technical infrastructure on which the Group's information system relies, in accordance with the Group's IT policies. Designs, implements, manages and maintains the Group's IT infrastructures in compliance with governance rules.
Responsibilities
- Be a cross-functional member of the infrastructure team involved in all layers : network, system and security, whether on-premise or in the cloud.
- Manage IT networks, servers, systems, data, storage, collaboration tools, backups, identity, etc., in relation to the Group IS infrastructure.
- Integrate the IS of companies acquired by the Group into the Trescal IS, in compliance with governance rules.
- Study design and implementation of new components (software, systems, hardware) and prepare technical specifications for tenders as needed.
- Self-manage work autonomously and report regularly on activities to the line manager.
- Report problems and propose solutions.
- Provide expertise on the technical components of the Group IS and anticipate and resolve outages on the Group IS infrastructure.
- Define and implement solutions to new requirements, including POCs when necessary.
- Participate in IT Infrastructure policy development in collaboration with the IT Infrastructure Architect.
- Design, implement and evolve the Group's IS infrastructure in line with IT policies; maintain operational condition and security per policy.
- Update technical documents and perform technology watch.
- Monitor Group IS infrastructure using available tools; maintain inventory and knowledge base of all Group IS Infrastructure components.
- Oversee development and maintenance of infrastructure components; ensure backup and restoration capabilities are operational; assign access rights per least privilege principle; configure components; assess obsolescence; request quotations and procure IT equipment as needed with line management approval.
- Implement project work : analyze needs for country integrations, check legal / regulatory aspects, prepare specifications for service providers, coordinate technical design with IT Infrastructure Architect, manage implementation with internal or external resources, plan progress meetings, ensure functional verification and performance indicators, and document technical and functional aspects.
- Handle requests / incidents : receive, analyze, process and close level 3 requests; create technical documents; request and secure IT devices.
