Responsibilities
- Knowledge in management and disposal of plant generated waste by segregation, classification, storage and proper disposal of all General and Scheduled Wastes, accurate tracking of waste generation weight from the plant to Management and accurate reporting to Department of Environment (DOE).
- Coordinate maintenance and repairing MHE use in LOG warehouse as required.
- Witness destruction of SW103 Scrap batteries (Li-On) at vendor premises as required.
- Coordinate and handle Dangerous Goods liaising with various regional teams and the implementation.
- Be PgP2 field expert in matters of Dangerous Goods management.
- Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to Waste Management, MHE, labor, transportation and storage.
- Ensure periodic review and update activities in LOG HIDARC and SAFETY ASPECT.
- Involve and participate in improvement projects – e.g. : space optimization, process improvement and cost reduction.
- Maintain knowledge of environmental & safety audits (internal and external).
- Perform other duties as assigned by Immediate Superior from time to time.
Qualifications
Degree in any discipline with related working experience; Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage.Minimum 5 years working experience in managing complete plant waste – collection, segregation, classification, inventory and disposal adhering to local DOE regulation; competency in CEPSWAM is an added advantage.Added advantage in understanding of Dangerous Goods requirements; competency in either IATA Regulation or IMDG is an added advantage.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate to all levels of management, and cross-functionally with business partners.Strong leadership skills and effective coordination with internal and external business partners to achieve results.Strong analytical technical knowledge for projects.Meticulous, result oriented, motivated, self-starter, able to meet tight deadlines and work independently.#J-18808-Ljbffr
