Roles and Responsibilities
Conducting regular vulnerability scans, prioritizing remediation efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture.Perform vulnerability assessments using infrastructure scans to identify weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.Evaluate, rate, and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk assessments and remediation timelines and relevant SLAs.Coordinate with IT, security, and development teams to implement patches and mitigation strategies.Maintain and update vulnerability management documentation, including policies, procedures, and response plans for zero day and critical vulnerabilities.Generate and present detailed reports on vulnerabilities, their impact, and remediation status to management and stakeholders.Monitor and analyze emerging threats and vulnerabilities to ensure proactive risk mitigation.Assist in security incident response and investigations, providing expertise on vulnerability exploitation.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 1+ years of experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity, or a related role.Proficiency with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable.io, Qualys VMDR, Rapid7 InsightVM, or Nessus.Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common vulnerabilities (e.g., CVE databases).Knowledge of vulnerability scoring systems (e.g., CVSS) and patch management processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Desired Skills : Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC (e.g., GSEC, GPEN).What’s on Offer
