Project Planning & Design Executive / Senior Executive
The role involves translating the brand’s design standards into practical and appealing store environments that enhance customer experience and align with operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
Carry out site visits to take site measurements with contractors and ensure site conditions match design requirements.
Develop and prepare layout plans, design concepts, and detailed drawings for new and existing outlets.
Ensure all designs comply with Baskin Robbins’ global brand identity and local authority regulations.
Produce presentation boards, 3D visuals, and material specifications for management approval.
Project Coordination
Work closely with the operations and marketing teams during the design and construction stages.
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and provide design‑related guidance to the project team.
Prepare purchase orders and handle work permit applications with landlords or mall management.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively as required.
Documentation & Standards
Maintain and update design guidelines, material libraries, and specification manuals.
Prepare and review as‑built drawings and ensure accurate documentation for future reference.
Cost & Timeline Management
Support project costing by specifying materials and finishes aligned with budget constraints.
Monitor project timelines to ensure design deliverables are submitted and approved.
Research new design trends, materials, and technologies suitable for retail and F&B.
Provide creative input for brand refreshes, new store concepts, and seasonal design updates.
Requirements
Education : Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Experience : 2–4 years of relevant experience in retail or F&B design.
Skills : Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator), 3D rendering software (e.g., V‑Ray, Enscape, or Lumion) and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong understanding of space planning, materials, and color coordination. Knowledge of fit‑out detailing, M&E coordination, and authority submission requirements. Good communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Personal Attributes : Creative and detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Willing to travel for site visits within Malaysia and Singapore.
