What will I be doing?
- Financial Acumen : Spearhead the creation of detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and decision‑making.
- Perform comprehensive analyses of financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
- Lead revenue optimization and cost control initiatives to enhance profitability and drive operational efficiency.
- Strategic Thinking : Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance to design and execute financial strategies that align with the hotel’s core business objectives.
- Deliver data‑driven insights to guide strategic planning, capital investments, and long‑term growth initiatives.
- Evaluate the financial implications of operational changes and market dynamics to support agile decision‑making.
- Leadership & Collaboration : Inspire, guide, and mentor the finance team to consistently achieve high performance and foster professional development.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement across all financial operations.
- Champion cross‑functional collaboration to enhance alignment and support seamless hotel operations.
- Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and audit standards.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks through robust internal control frameworks.
- Act as a key liaison with auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain and uphold compliance excellence.
- Operational Excellence : Deliver strategic financial insights to operational teams to drive cost efficiency and optimize resource allocation.
- Streamline financial processes to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of standardized procedures for finance‑related activities to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement : Present clear, concise, and impactful financial updates and forecasts to senior leadership to support informed decision‑making.
- Collaborate effectively with department heads to align financial planning with operational priorities and business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors and financial partners, to ensure trust and transparency.
- Ethical Judgment & Integrity : Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in all financial practices and decision‑making.
- Ensure the confidentiality and protection of sensitive financial information.
- Address discrepancies transparently and reinforce a culture of financial accountability and discipline.
- Adaptability & Problem Solving : Navigate dynamic business environments and shifting financial landscapes with agility and confidence.
- Develop innovative, data‑driven solutions to strengthen financial performance and operational resilience.
- Support contingency planning and scenario analysis to proactively prepare for future uncertainties and risks.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required.Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA are considered a valuable credential.Familiarity with Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting standards.Proven track record of progressive experience in hotel or hospitality finance, including demonstrated leadership and team management responsibilities.Pre‑opening experience is an added advantage.Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.Demonstrated advanced financial and commercial acumen, with a proven ability to analyze, interpret, and articulate complex financial data to drive strategic decision‑making.Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities, with a track record of motivating and managing high‑performing finance teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, ownership groups, and external partners.Proficiency in financial systems and hotel management software.Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.What will it be like to work for Hilton?
