About the Role
We are seeking a driven and technically competent Sales & Marketing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing the full sales cycle, developing customer relationships, and driving business growth through strategic sales and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with excellent business acumen to bridge the gap between technology and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end sales process — including lead generation, cold calling, technical consultation, quotation, and order closure.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and expand key customer accounts.
- Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and competitive insights.
- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimations, sales forecasts, and formal presentations to support customer engagement and management review.
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop effective marketing materials and ensure alignment between product offerings and market requirements.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive client profiles, providing valuable insights for business planning and strategic decision-making.
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with customers and distributors, serving as the primary point of contact for commercial and technical matters.
- Develop joint business plans with distributors and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to evaluate performance and identify new growth areas.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, timely, and precise services that meet customers’ business objectives and Penchem’s quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.Minimum 2–3 years of experience in technical sales, marketing, or business development, preferably within the chemical, electronics, or semiconductor industries.Strong command of English, Mandarin, and Malay to effectively engage with diverse client segments.Excellent technical comprehension, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.Proven skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship management.Highly self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.Familiarity with B2B technical sales and the materials, polymer, or high-tech manufacturing sector will be an added advantage.Why Join Us
