Overview
This position is for an experienced mechanical integrity (MI) engineer to provide fixed equipment & piping related support to our Product Solutions business line facilities in China. Depending on experience, you will be designated as a mid or entry-level MI engineer. The position is based in Kuala Lumpur. As a member of our equipment engineering team, you will be managing site mechanical integrity health by developing, deploying and executing global workflows consistent with the overall discipline vision and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
What you will do
- Develop and deploy integrity, static and corrosion management workflows to Product Solutions and Upstream businesses globally.
- Provide corrosion expertise in developing fit-for-purpose equipment strategies and integrity operating windows involving higher complexity corrosion mechanisms.
- Develop and optimize inspection plans and recommendations using data analytics.
- Deliver overall integrity effectiveness and management, including criticality assessments, consequence / complexity rating of fixed equipment, setting optimum task intervals to comply with local regulations / statutory requirements, timely review of inspection findings, and ongoing improvement of strategies.
- Deploy and execute static assessments for in-service fixed equipment and piping.
- Develop and leverage cutting-edge tools and digital techniques to improve delivery effectiveness and drive asset improvements.
- Provide regional oversight and stewardship of integrity work product metrics for quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in achieving business unit / manufacturing site objectives.
- Lead coordination and communication between global centers, managed service providers and business affiliates for knowledge transfer, sharing learnings, skill management and maintaining business relationships.
- Adapt to an agile and flexible working environment; stay current with industry standards / practices and contribute to improving company work processes / practices.
- For Mid-Level engineers : provide technical leadership and drive cross-collaboration to enable the above on a global scale; maintain highest level of expertise; promote innovative solutions; serve as designated expert reviewer and provide technical quality endorsement; act as a technical mentor to younger engineers.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or other related disciplines.Candidates with prior relevant experience or strong academic background are encouraged to apply.Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in refinery, petrochemical or upstream oil & gas facilities related to fixed equipment mechanical integrity or asset integrity project management.Ability to derive technical insights from large engineering data sets using analytical tools and concepts.Working knowledge in mechanical design, selection, fabrication and quality assurance of pressure equipment, heat exchangers, piping systems, valves, and pressure relief devices.Working knowledge of key sections of ASME Codes (e.g., Sec Div. 1 / 2, Sec V, Sec IX, Sec II, Sec Il, B31.3 / B31.1 / B31.4 / B31.8, PCC-2).This job requires fluency in the Mandarin language.#J-18808-Ljbffr
