About the location

About the role

The Sous Chef is a key leadership position in the kitchen, serving as the right hand to the Executive Chef. The Sous Chef helps oversee daily kitchen operations, manages staff, ensures food quality, and handles any issues that arise during service.

What you will do

  • Assist in the planning and development of recipes, and ensure the correct preparation and presentation of all food items.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet resort standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the kitchen’s food production area to meet cultural and core standards.

What you bring

  • Ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team in a high‑pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
