Job descriptionLead negotiation, drafting, and execution of FPSO charter agreements, EPCI / EPCIC contracts, O&M agreements, and JV / consortium arrangements. Manage risk allocation, including indemnities, liability caps, LDs, warranties, uptime metrics, variations, EOTs, and force majeure. Support bids and tenders, review ITTs / RFPs, prepare deviations / qualifications, and align legal exceptions with technical and commercial deliverables. Oversee regulatory and compliance matters (export controls, anti-bribery / anti-corruption, local content, human rights). Mentor junior legal team members and collaborate with project directors, engineering, finance, supply chain, and clients. A global contractor delivering technically complex offshore energy projects across APAC and LATAM. The company works with leading regional and international operators, providing full lifecycle solutions from project development and chartering to delivery and long-term operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years PQE in offshore energy projects, with strong FPSO / EPCI negotiation experience.
- Proven track record negotiating complex charter and EPCI / EPCIC agreements.
- Deep knowledge of risk allocation, insurance programs, and offshore project delivery.
- Strong commercial judgment, technical literacy, and negotiation skills under tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English; French or Portuguese advantageous.
- Career progression to Legal Manager within 2 years.
