Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Estimate costs, resources, and time required, monitor progress and performance, and assign tasks to meet targets.
• Integrate DfX methodologies, high-volume manufacturing processes, assembly, molding, metal and packaging technology, component selection, test and inspection methodologies, and quality assurance on medical devices product development into the product development schedule. Ensure design for manufacturability and maintenance is considered during the design phase. Support, manage, execute, and report on design and manufacturing activities.
• Maintain strong technical aptitude in DfX methodologies, high-volume manufacturing processes, assembly, molding, metal and packaging technology, component selection, test and inspection methodologies, and quality assurance on medical devices product development. Research and leverage innovations in manufacturing, work with supply chain to identify technical requirements, and lead value engineering projects.
• Identify and qualify mechanical components and second sources for materials. Select and manage outside contractors to ensure integration into projects and satisfactory service standards.
• Provide technical guidance, perform analyses, recommend and prepare design-of-experiments, and review specifications. Develop and maintain technical expertise, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
• Coach and mentor less experienced engineers, check the quality of their work, and help resolve problems. Ensure continuity of knowledge through training and support.
