Account & Business Development Manager – ASEAN Region
Join Mecademic Industrial Robotics as an Account & Business Development Manager to spearhead growth in the ASEAN market. This role balances expanding existing key machine builder and integrator accounts while driving new end‑user acquisition through strategic prospecting and sales initiatives. The position may involve managing regional distributors and supporting key opportunities in India and / or China.
Responsibilities
- Business Development : identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities and develop the partner network within the designated territory.
- Key Account Management : nurture and expand relationships with an existing portfolio of key accounts and partners.
- Channel Partner Management : develop and manage the network of partners across the ASEAN region.
- Sales Strategy : develop and execute a sales strategy and action plan to achieve sales targets.
- Negotiation & Closing : lead contract negotiations, prepare proposals, and close sales deals, ensuring profitability and legal compliance.
- Market Intelligence : serve as the regional expert, monitor market trends, and customer needs to inform product and sales strategies.
- Reporting : maintain accurate and up‑to‑date sales pipeline information, activities, and forecasts in the CRM system.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical field.5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in automation, robotics, or related industrial technology sector.Proven ability to manage the entire sales cycle.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for B2B executives.Proficient use of CRM software for pipeline management and accurate forecasting.Proven success in managing and growing relationships with large industrial customers.Technical knowledge of robots or automation systems.Understanding of ASEAN business environment and cultural nuances highly desirable.Fluency in English required; proficiency in Malay, Vietnamese or Mandarin is a significant advantage.Autonomous, proactive, and results‑oriented; ability to work independently in a remote setting.Job Conditions
Full‑time permanent remote position, to be filled as soon as possible. Requires frequent travel across the ASEAN region. Must live in the ASEAN region (ideally Malaysia) and possess a valid work permit. Compensation based on profile and experience; this is a commission‑based position.
