Senior Local Area Network Engineer

We are looking for a LAN Network Engineer to develop and maintain a functional and secure network in Maybank Malaysia and in regional countries. You will mentor a team of L1 network engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users. In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. Your goal will be to establish networks that cater to Maybank needs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN and WLAN) involving Datacentres, Campus offices etc around Cisco Technologies.
• Configure and install Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco WLC and other Cisco network devices. This includes routing via VMWare NSX products.
• Monitor / Administer network health check, performance and integrity (BAU)
• Resolve BAU operational issues within the agreed timeframe.
• Mentor L1 team members on technical issues
• Communicate with users when needed
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• Suggest improvements to network performance, automation, capacity and scalability
• Perform 24x7 standby (on rotation) and participate in Sev1 incidents.
