Safety Health Officer - SHO

Job Title : Safety & Health Officer (SHO)

We are seeking an experienced and certified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to join our project team. The SHO will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations at our project sites, while promoting a strong safety culture across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994), Factories and Machinery Act (FMA 1967), and all relevant statutory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor site Safety & Health Plans, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and recommend preventive measures.
• Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., DOSH, CIDB, JKKP) for inspections, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and coordinate safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions for site workers and staff.
• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Prepare and submit required safety reports, documentation, and records to management and authorities.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and ensure all employees and subcontractors follow site safety requirements.
