Key Objectives
- Continue day-to-day operations by collaborate with cross-functional teams in maintaining the configuration management database (CMDB) in ServiceNow to identify, track, manage and control configuration items throughout their lifecycle including conduct regular audits to verify the correctness, completeness, and compliance of configuration items, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the configuration management process, recommending and implementing improvement as appropriate.
- Stay up to date with industry’s best practices and trends in configuration management, evaluating and incorporating new tools and techniques as necessary.
- To work together in designing and implementing CSDM model within our CMDB, and ensure CIs are identified, tracked and managed throughout their lifecycle to support the business services.
- Be responsible for overall execution of the configuration management process on a day-to-day basis across SWIFT globally.
- You need to have a strong understanding of configuration management principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic You need to have good communication skills that can interface with internal stakeholders with different business profiles.
Your responsibilities will be :
Administer the CMDB by working closely with other process leads and ensure that CIs specific information are accurate and consistently following the processesExecute activities to identify new CI's and new CI relationships using automated tools or well-defined processes, as well as stale CI's and relationshipsPerforms reconciliation of CMDB data, ensuring exceptions are noted between CMDB, discovery information, and other authoritative sourcesPerform activities to correct any gaps or inefficiencies in CMDB data, including Configuration Items and their respective attributes related to Vulnerability response initiativeWork closely with service owners to ensure the CI mappings are accurate and up to date which contributes to Vulnerability response initiativeWork closely with Security and Tooling team to work through any discovery blockersIdentify and maintain all assets and features associated with the Configuration Items (CIs)Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on CI data accuracy including stale, orphan, and duplicate CisCreate and update knowledge base articles to improve team effectivenessExperience and Professional Knowledge
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Configuration Management in banking & financial services industryExtensive knowledge of the ServiceNow platform in specific to CMDB & CSDM.Experienced in end-to-end operation of the CMDBExperience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, tools and CMDBWhat we offer
