Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Trade Marketing Team Lead to spearhead trade marketing strategies, ensure excellence in field execution, and drive brand visibility in the market. This role will lead a team to plan, implement, and optimize trade marketing activities that support sales objectives and strengthen retailer partnerships. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational oversight, ensuring all campaigns are executed on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of trade marketing plans across channels.
- Manage and mentor the trade marketing team to deliver high-quality in-store activations.
- Ensure field execution excellence through regular market visits and compliance monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with sales, merchandising, and brand teams to align initiatives with business goals.
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Optimize trade spend and evaluate ROI on promotional activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail and distribution partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role within trade marketing, FMCG, or retail.Experience in the fintech industry would be advantageous.Proficiency in Microsoft Office or GWSLeadership & Team Management : Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a trade marketing team to achieve KPIs.Strategic Trade Marketing Expertise : Strong knowledge of trade marketing principles, retail dynamics, shopper behavior, and channel strategies.Field Execution Excellence : Skilled in ensuring high compliance with brand guidelines, timely activation rollouts, and effective in-store visibility.Analytical & Commercial Acumen : Ability to analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to optimize trade initiatives.Project & Budget Management : Experience managing multiple campaigns, timelines, and trade spend with a focus on ROI.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with sales, merchandising, brand, and external partners.Problem-Solving & Adaptability : Ability to respond quickly to market challenges, competitor actions, and execution issues.Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design tools or trade marketing software is an advantage.Details
