To support the development, positioning, and pre‑sales execution of Finther Tecnologica’s observability and monitoring solutions. This role serves as the bridge between the technical and commercial departments, helping ensure that the organization’s products meet customer needs while aligning with solution delivery goals. The Technical Sales Engineer plays a key role in technical solution design, customer engagement, proposal support, and internal product coordination to enhance overall solution readiness and market fit.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Product & Solution Support
To assist in the research, definition, documentation, and refinement of product features, roadmaps, and use cases for observability‑related tools (e.g., NPM, APM, NAPM).
To collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to align product capabilities with client needs and evolving market demands.
To gather feedback from stakeholders—including customers, internal teams, and partners—and contribute to iterative product improvement.
To participate in pre‑sales engagements including technical presentations, product & technical demonstrations, proof‑of‑concept (POC) support, and RFP / RFI technical responses.
To work closely with Sales, Technical Operations, and Technical Engineering teams in defining technically viable solutions that address customer requirements.
To prepare and present solution architecture diagrams, high‑level designs (HLDs), and written technical documentation as part of proposals or bids.
To assist in translating customer business needs into scalable, deployable technical solutions.
To attend customer meetings and technical sessions to understand infrastructure pain points and support solution design.
To support the handover of projects from pre‑sales to implementation teams for smooth project transition and execution.
To support proposal, quotation, and tender preparation involving Finther Tecnologica Sdn Bhd’s observability offerings.
To work with Technical Engineering and Finance teams to estimate costs, effort, and delivery timelines.
Market Research & Product Positioning
To perform competitive analysis and market research to identify solution gaps, trends, and innovation opportunities.
To assist in developing product value propositions and positioning statements aligned with business development strategies.
Documentation & Technical Collateral
To prepare and maintain technical documentation, solution briefs, technical whitepapers, and training content.
To support knowledge‑sharing initiatives by contributing to internal technical documentation.
Internal Collaboration
To liaise with Product, Engineering, Sales and Operations teams to ensure product and solution readiness for deployment.
To assist in internal enablement initiatives to ensure sales, delivery, and support teams are informed and equipped.
To contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including solution packaging, automation, and delivery optimization.
To support testing, validation, and pilot rollouts for new product features and tools.
To perform any other tasks as assigned by the Head of Product or management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
2–5 years experience in product, technical support, or pre‑sales roles in the ICT or enterprise software industry.
Understanding of Observability, NPM / APM tools, Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and IT infrastructure.
Experience in DevOps / SRE / Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) would be an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, combined with the ability to think strategically.
Excellent communication and presentation skills—able to translate technical language into business value.
Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational abilities.
Team player with proactive mindset and customer‑centric attitude.
