Warehouse Team Leader - 6 working days per week

The Warehouse Team Leader oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth workflow, accurate order processing, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role involves supervising warehouse assistants, coordinating tasks, and maintaining efficiency in receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch activities.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision & Coordination

Lead and motivate a team of warehouse assistants to achieve daily operational targets.

Plan, assign, and monitor work schedules (receiving, picking, packing, loading).

Conduct daily briefings to communicate priorities and performance expectations.

Ensure all team members follow company SOPs and safety rules.

Warehouse Operations

Oversee receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching processes.

Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing goods.

Ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time.

Coordinate with other departments (QC, Admin, Transport, etc.) to resolve issues.

Inventory & Documentation

Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and labeling.

Assist in cycle counting and stock reconciliation.

Verify documentation accuracy (DO, GRN, packing list, etc.).

Report discrepancies, damages, or stock variances to the supervisor.

Safety & Housekeeping

Enforce warehouse safety standards and proper PPE usage.

Conduct regular checks on equipment, racks, and storage areas.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.

Staff Development

Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new or junior staff.

Evaluate team performance and recommend improvements.

Foster teamwork, discipline, and accountability.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma / SPM with 2–3 years of warehouse experience (leadership role preferred).

Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in basic computer or WMS (Warehouse Management System) use.

Physically fit and able to handle fast-paced warehouse environment.

Willing to work overtime or shifts when required.
