Provide regulatory, scientific and nutrition support to the business unit.
Keep abreast of local and overseas regulatory knowledge.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure raw material, product recipe / formulation, label and communication material compliance with regulatory requirements of Malaysia, Brunei and other markets identified by the IMD division. Create and maintain product details, review and approve product labeling and communication material.
Prepare and maintain documentation for label, healthier choice application, pre‑market registration, etc.
Assist in implementing validated action plans in response to regulatory changes in the market.
Ensure ingredients used by the business unit comply with the halal requirement of JAKIM and provide technical assistance in applying halal certification.
Support nutrition expertise in company products (beverage, dairy, ice cream, foods, confectionery) to evaluate nutritional quality and identify opportunities for improvement based on public‑health trends, nutrition policies, guidelines, product usage and competitor analysis.
Support manufacturing plants in water license and VHM application.
