About EA Create

EA Create is a collection of content production teams that work with EA Studios game teams to bring outstanding visuals, audio, and technology to life. Our team includes artists, engineers, technicians, designers, and development directors worldwide, united by collaboration, culture, and craft.

Role

This artist role is the point of contact between teams. You’ll align the vision and goals with directors, provide direct creative input and planning, oversee the art team's work and quality for 3D asset creation, and ensure quality consistency, performance, technical innovation, and team growth. You will report under the guidance of the world domain lead and senior artists.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Art Director in driving and maintaining the high visual quality of hardware assets, inspiring and aligning with the project vision.
  • Partner with the AD and other departments to improve the work pipeline, adopting new techniques, tools, and workflows.
  • Detect potential production risks and work with partners to develop mitigation plans.
  • Deliver feedback to internal and external teams to maintain art style understanding and quality for the Project.
  • Produce benchmark assets according to art guidance.
  • Excel in realistic weapon and vehicle production, with understanding of modern military hardware.
  • Maintain strong aesthetics and self‑discipline.
  • Strong learning ability and drive to achieve.
  • Show initiative; actively explore and solve problems.
  • Communicate effectively with strong understanding.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of AAA game production experience as a hardware (environment) lead or experienced artist.
  • Excellent understanding of hard surface modeling and texturing.
  • Proficient in hard surface production and related software (MAYA, MAX, FUSION, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of weapons and vehicles, and understanding of industrial design principles.
  • Familiarity with FPS game types.
  • Expertise in PBR workflows and curiosity to explore new industry workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate with other art teams, optimize and debug assets with the TA team.
  • Provide concise feedback in various forms (verbal, written, paint‑over, presentation).
  • Experience with mainstream game engines.
