We are currently seeking a skilled Handyman to join our Maintenance team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to‑day maintenance and repair work as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform general maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, air‑conditioning, carpentry, painting, masonry, and basic building repairs.
- Assist in preventive maintenance (PPM) activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of all building systems and equipment.
- Respond promptly to defect reports and ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently and recorded accurately.
- Support the Senior Technician and other team members in troubleshooting and rectifying faults in equipment and building systems.
- Conduct regular checks of campus facilities to identify issues and report them to the Supervisor.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and tools.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with college policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment properly, ensuring they are used and stored responsibly.
- Support the setup, dismantling, and maintenance of furniture, fixtures, and fittings during school events or term transitions.
- Assist with contractor coordination or supervision during small projects or repair works as directed.
- Maintain a positive working attitude and demonstrate teamwork within the Maintenance Department.
- Participate in emergency response or after‑hours call‑back duties when required to address urgent maintenance issues.
- Perform daily maintenance tasks efficiently and responsibly, using tools and materials carefully to reduce waste and support cost‑saving measures.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a handyman, carpenter, or in a similar maintenance role.Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices and building systems.Proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and basic repair techniques.Excellent problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills and a willingness to assist others.Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.Benefits
