- Support the delivery of overhead cost accounting processes for the Clarks Group in line with Group Accounting Policy and IFRS.
- Based in the Malaysia Shared Service Centre and reporting to the Head of Management Accounting or Group Reporting Accountant who are based in the UK Shared Service Centre.

Impacts accuracy and understanding of financial reporting and delivery of month-end and statutory close processes.Accountabilities
Input and maintain SAP based accounting records for overhead departments completely, accurately and to comply with IFRS and group accounting policies. Primary focus to be on wages, salaries and associated costs.Deliver period end close processes, escalating issues promptly to deliver in line with group reporting and statutory deadlines.Prepare and deliver all related overhead accounting transactions in accordance with IFRS and internal accounting guidelines and policies.Respond to audit queries and support the delivery of the group reporting and statutory audit timetable.Deliver regular reporting requirements to the assigned overhead area, to support understanding of the financial result. Work with colleagues in the wider finance team to deliver accurate and insightful analysis on monthly costs and balance sheet movements.Review, develop and improve overhead accounting processes / operations to create efficiency and reduce non-essential workload.Maintain effective controls and procedures to satisfy statutory audit requirements including the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA will be an advantage).Minimum 2-3 years of relevant cost accounting experience in an MNC or Shared Services environment will be highly advantageous.Strong understanding of cost structures, financial reporting, and accounting principles.Proven track record in performing work assigned with minimal supervision.Ability to follow processes and use judgement within defined procedures.Ability to navigate within an ambiguous environment with high learning agility.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Highly organised and ability to work within tight timeframes.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, SumIFS and pivot tables) with knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or similar) preferred.Fluent in both written and spoken English.Good command in other languages such as Mandarin will be an added advantage.About Clarks
