FTS Cayman is hiring a Business Writer & Content Specialist to support The Cayman Independent (business news) and the Cayman Islands Financial Services Institute (professional training).

The role involves writing business news and features, developing training content, conducting research and interviews, and translating complex topics into clear, engaging material.

Please note, the position requires flexibility, including occasional evening or weekend work and the ability to deliver high‑quality content under tight deadlines. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

What we’re looking for

Strong business writing skills.
Experience with reputable business publications or professional training organizations is a plus.
Ability to explain detailed subjects clearly and accurately.
Reliable, organized and comfortable working to deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications,, economics or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

3–5 years of professional writing experience (journalism, business writing, training content, or similar).

Proven ability to produce high‑quality business or financial content.

Strong research, interviewing and fact‑checking skills.
