Manager / Assistant Manager - Business & Corporate Banking (Business Compliance)

Responsibilities

• Drive and facilitate a culture ofpliance across BCB;
• Responsible forpletion of self-assessments / independent review for BCB;
• Study the applicability of new / revised regulations / policies issued by regulators and work with the respective stakeholder toplete the gap analysis
• Support the development and implementation of a plan for checking thepliance controls of BCB.
• Help ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting by BCBpliance, where required.
• Ensure timely reporting and escalation ofpliance issues or incidences to management and Grouppliance.
• Assist with the coordination of any regulatory information requests, including meetings and audits.
• Working closely with Grouppliance to ensure all relevant new legislation and regulation applicable to BCB is implemented in a timely manner.
• Propose / rmend initiatives to revise existing internal processes and / or adopt new processes toply with new regulatory requirements, where necessary.
• Build a close working relationship withpliance, Hong Leong Islamic Bank to help ensurepliance with shariah requirements as necessary.
• Establish and share best practices, with reference topetitor benchmarks as appropriate.
• Build a close working relationship with key stakeholders across the business unit, Group Risk, Grouppliance, Group Support Services (including Legal), Group Internal Audit, and other business units and functions where relevant, in the implementation and enforcement of policies and guidelines.
• Customize and deliver effectivepliance training to all the staffs of BCB division
