Lab Assistant

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and label samples of raw quartz and processed materials (sand and powder).
• Conduct routine quality control tests, including : Particle size distribution (sieve analysis for mesh sizes).
• Whiteness measurement.
• Impurity checks (iron, etc.).
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately in lab logs and QC systems.
• Assist in calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment (e.g., sieves, whiteness meter, moisture balance).
• Support the Lab Supervisor / Factory Manager in developing and improving testing methods.
• Ensure safe handling of materials and compliance with safety procedures in the laboratory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
• Provide support during internal and external audits, including ISO or customer audits.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Lab Supervisor / Factory Manager.
