Business Development Representative (Remote)

Position Summary

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to help extend our fast-growing business activities in the blockchain and cryptocurrency compliance sector. The BDR role is the perfect opportunity to build a career in technology sales. You will be the tip of the spear, developing relationships with industry‑leading executives and evangelizing Crystal’s software and services. BDRs build prospect pipelines by researching the internet, making cold calls, attending conferences, and networking to identify decision‑makers, qualify leads, and set up appointments for Sales Executives. This position requires determination, focus, tenacity, and resilience. Your efforts will have a direct impact on our company’s growth. This role reports directly to the VP of Growth, APAC, and is a remote, work‑from‑home opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Account Executives to identify and source net‑new pipeline that leads to closed revenue and quota attainment.
  • Drive pipeline through opportunity creation.
  • Uncover opportunities via phone conversation and other channels to create a vision for prospects and how they will benefit from our products and services.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quotas and KPIs.
  • Probe for prospect needs via phone and web research.
  • Accurately document details of identified opportunities for timely follow‑up on leads.
  • Support specific marketing programs, lead generation campaigns, and targeted sales activities.
  • Strive for self‑improvement and stay abreast of industry and market trends using research organisations, sales books, and collateral.

Requirements

  • Preferably experience in the SaaS industry and / or in FinTech or RegTech.
  • Preferably experience selling services to AML and compliance teams in the banking / FI sectors.
  • Four years of relevant professional experience or transferable skills, e.g. sales development or business development, commission sales, high‑contact customer‑facing roles requiring quick thinking and diplomacy.
  • Hands‑on experience with HubSpot CRM.
  • Ability to build professional rapport by telephone with executive or C‑level prospects.
  • High energy, growth mindset, and focus on exceeding sales plans.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills; high proficiency in English, Mandarin (written and spoken). Other languages are a plus.
  • Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and tools.
  • Energetic and positive personality with curiosity to learn and grow.
  • Passion for winning and desire for a career in sales.
  • Creativity, grit, customer focus.
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2‑3 years of equivalent experience.
