Overview

Regional Sales Proposal Manager – Compression (APAC). Location : Remote or Hybrid. Region Department : Transformation of Industry – Compression, Applied Technical Solutions (SE TI CP ATS). Mode of Employment : Permanent. Reports to the Global Head of Sales & Bid Management for a segment within the Siemens Energy compression business. The role is responsible for identifying solutions and driving the proposal development process, achieving regional sales targets and growth with the regional sales team, and developing technical solutions, cost modelling, and proposals while collaborating with partners across Siemens Energy global operations. The role includes creating and developing advanced service offerings including Modernization & Upgrades, Repairs, Field Services, Parts, and Digitalization solutions across the compression portfolio. Close partnership with customer relationship teams and interfaces into engineering, supply chain, operations, and global manufacturing product centres are required. Collaboration with global operations teams in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia Pacific is expected to deliver order entry growth and operational excellence. What You’ll Make An Impact

Lead the overall bid and proposal development process for complex projects and standard aftermarket services related to centrifugal, reciprocating, and geared compressors, and gas engines. Understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions, set strategy, identify and influence key decision makers, and navigate complex internal and external selling environments. Drive service business growth across core markets and portfolio, including Modernization & Upgrades, Repairs, Field Services, Parts, Controls, Service Programs, and Digitalization. Develop a compelling value proposition that aligns with company growth and profit guidelines. Build and maintain a strong internal network with Siemens Energy stakeholders and partners to create tailored solutions and ensure customer satisfaction through service and support. Collaborate with management to implement a comprehensive sales strategy for regional success; participate in and potentially lead growth initiatives as needed. Monitor market and industry trends; perform front-end technical evaluations, basic calculations, and initial design / proposal reviews to mitigate technical risks. Develop clear technical and commercial proposals and present data to customers to capture profitable business for the company. What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Chemical or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience in technical sales, bid management, or business development in oil & gas, power generation, or industrial services, with a proven track record. Strong knowledge and background in compressors or industrial rotating equipment; experience with a Compression or major rotating equipment supplier is preferred. Strategic orientation with detailed knowledge of centrifugal, reciprocating, or geared compressors, including compressor performance and application principles. 5+ years of hands-on experience in compressor engineering (aero & mechanical design, impeller fabrication, rotor construction, seals / bearings / couplings, assembly, testing, installation, servicing, and API-617 compressor repair). Knowledge of lubrication and seal packages, and process controls (startup, suction throttling, recycle, anti-surge). Ability to baseline compressors with minimum data (API datasheets) and develop high-level solutions to initiate client dialogue. Experience working with multinational organizations and diverse cultural environments with strong intercultural communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities; capable of delivering key deliverables on time and with high quality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to internal and external Senior Leadership; strong networking and relationship-building skills. Willingness to travel up to 20% within the region and internationally as required. Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage. Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce.com, and Tableau is preferred.
