About the job

The Account to Report (A2R) Closing & Reporting team is accountable for the processing of transactions related to accounting, and closing & reporting of financial books. This role will support the A2R Closing & Reporting Lead in ensuring the enforcement of accounting standards and reliability of the data collected from management, controllers, tax department and other end-to-end processes. Apart from that, this role will require active participation in driving A2R continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Team

The Account to Report (A2R) Closing & Reporting team is accountable for the processing of transactions related to accounting, and closing & reporting of financial books. This role will support the A2R Closing & Reporting Lead in ensuring the enforcement of accounting standards and reliability of the data collected from management, controllers, tax department and other end-to-end processes. Apart from that, this role will require active participation in driving A2R continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Core model Implementation : Implement and ensure alignment with core model; Propose and support any project which aim to align to core model but also transform and automate our processes; Embrace RPA mindset.
• Operations : Deliver quality reporting of legal statutory accounts for Local GAAP and IFRS; Execution of GL end to end activates; Perform Monthly and Quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliation; Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS) and company procedures to ensure integrity of financial information; Collaborate with A2R Retained, other End to End processes (P2P, OTC and PS), tax & treasury departments and Country Finance, Finance Operation (FO) to manage and address potential closing risks (pre / post close meetings); Respond to and resolve enquiries from Country Finance / Internal and External customers; Ensure SOP documentations are updated on timely basis to reflect latest process / tool / policy changes; Active participation in Sanofi global projects with close collaboration with Project team, Country Finance, FO and other End to End processes (P2P, OTC and PS); Align, promote and deliver as per Global A2R Vision, Mission incorporating all Sanofi’s Core Values.

Key Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience : Working experience is not required as training will be provided. Exposure to SAP and MS‑Excel will be an added advantage (not mandatory as training will be provided). Good verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English are required as the role will be supporting the Greater China. Accounting standards : main country of the region and IFRS. Attention to detail. Essential Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or equivalent. Desirable Skills and Experience : Good interpersonal and communication skills. Possess strong analytical skill. Positive and agile mindset.
