The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) supports the management and maintenance of the organisation’s quality system to ensure compliance with CAAM Part 145 and CAAS SAR-145 requirements. The QAM plays a key operational role in executing internal audits, managing quality records, coordinating regulatory compliance activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across aircraft and component maintenance functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality System & Audit Execution
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with CAAM Part 145 and CAAS SAR-145.
- Carry out internal audits and surveillance checks on maintenance activities, including aircraft and component work.
- Compile and issue audit reports, track non-conformances, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Raise any serious non-compliances to the attention of the Director of Quality.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Support in the preparation and amendment of the MOE (Maintenance Organisation Exposition) and liaise with CAAM for approval.Maintain up-to-date quality manuals, procedures, and quality notices in accordance with latest regulatory advisories.Assist in preparing documentation and responses for CAAM / CAAS audits and regulatory surveillance.3. Authorisation & Competency
Support the issuance, renewal, and cancellation of AMO Certifying Staff individual authorisations.Participate in the company competency and human factors programme, including feedback loop from incidents.Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance to CAAM / CAAS standards.Assist in evaluating suppliers of materials, components, and standard parts to ensure they meet quality standards.Conduct routine assessments of subcontractors and external parties used under the AMO’s approval.5. Airworthiness Support
Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance teams on airworthiness occurrences, including follow-up investigations.Notify CAAM / CAAS on off-site or external maintenance as per MOE and regulatory guidance.Requirements
Valid CAAM CAT B license.Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Line / Base Maintenance within a CAAM-approved AMO.Good understanding of CAAM Part 145 requirements.Familiar with audit processes, MOE structure, and regulatory reporting.Detail‑oriented, with good documentation, communication, and follow‑up skillsAble to work independently and manage multiple quality activities simultaneously.Good understanding of CAAS SAR-145 requirements would be advantages.Seniority level
