Job Description
The main purpose of the job is to provide Customer Service Excellence to GAC customers consistently day in day out. The job exists to grow profitable revenue and meet specific company objectives by focusing on Customer Service Excellence, customer retention, development, and acquisition of new business. It contributes towards achieving the target revenue of the Division by creating a profitable customer relationship with existing clients, growing their business, and bringing in new customers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing client base.
- Pre-empt customer queries and concerns.
- Respond to customers’ requests in a timely and accurate manner while demonstrating a high level of customer service empathy and professionalism.
- Ensure smooth and timely process flow updates with no delays or inaccuracies in document submissions.
- Track and trace as required.
- Operate systems data entry.
- Ensure accuracy and timely data entry into GAC operating system as well as third‑party online systems to avoid future financial implications.
- Ensure omission of errors and accuracy in billing.
- Verify job costs allocations, provisions, and billing amounts with prompt escalation in case of errors.
- Ensure prompt passing of files for raising invoices, e‑billing, and dispatching.
- Provide prompt and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required internally or externally.
- Strategic thinking on workflow and continuous improvement of internal processes for increased efficiency.
- Compliance with various authorities, including port, customs, airport, and overseas authorities involved in international trade.
Job Requirements
Minimum Diploma or Degree holder in Logistics, Supply Chain, Shipping or similar field.Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in the freight forwarding industry in a similar position.High level of industry knowledge.Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (writing and speaking).Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly.Positive attitude with very high level of enthusiasm and excellent team player.Seniority Level
