About the Role
We are seeking a Production Manager to oversee and optimise our chocolate manufacturing operations in Simpang Ampat, Penang. The role is responsible for managing daily production efficiency, quality standards, workforce discipline, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily chocolate production and setup of new production lines.
- Plan and manage production schedules, capacity, and manpower.
- Ensure smooth operations and meet customer delivery timelines.
- Monitor production efficiency, cost, and product quality.
- Conduct strategy meetings, set KPI goals, and track performance.
- Implement and maintain the 5S methodology to enhance workplace organisation and efficiency.
- Supervise staff discipline, attendance, performance, and break hours, ensuring all instructions are followed.
- Train and educate staff to adapt to new systems and ensure all tasks meet expected standards.
- Lead and guide the production team towards operational excellence.
- Take proactive ownership in identifying and solving problems to achieve total excellence.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, and HALAL standards.
- Prepare production reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors or management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Food Science, Food Technology, or a relevant field.Minimum 2–3 years and above relevant experience in chocolate or food manufacturing.Strong understanding of production planning, process improvement, and quality control.Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented with good leadership and communication skills.Familiar with ISO 22000, HACCP, and HALAL systems.Benefits
