Engineer, IT & IS Systems

Overview

The Engineer, IT & IS Systems is responsible for analyzing business needs, implementation, integration, enhancement and support of business applications. This role involves ensuring that all the hardware, software and network components are running securely, smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supports, troubleshoots and maintains Corporate and Manufacturing systems (i.e. deploying enhancements / bug fixes).
• Collaborate with team members (project manager, software developers, systems and network engineer) in a fast-paced environment to meet project milestones.
• Systems validation and documentation meet predetermined guidelines for compliance.
• Adheres to applications security and control procedures in accordance with departmental, vendor standards and regulatory bodies.
• Provides routine application support and guidance to end users.
• Responsible for day-to-day tracking and follow-up on routine tasks.
• Create and maintain a knowledge base management system of system configurations, specifications and work procedures.
• Ensure the backup systems are reliable and functional to support business continuity.
• May require occasional after-hours work or on-call availability for system maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned.

Physical requirements / Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local or international travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
