This Head of School position plays an instrumental role in championing the essence of Beaconhouse in delivering high-quality education to our future leaders, i.e. our students. The Head of School has to ensure the implementation of high-quality academic programs incorporates innovative and up-to-date teaching skills and attentive support and care from our trained teachers.
The Head of School (Preschool) will maintain the KPIs set by the Regional Office while creating a conducive working environment for the school staff. She is responsible for the incremental admission of students by maintaining academic excellence that will maximise the students' intellectual potential and allow them a competitive advantage in this challenging world.

Responsibilities
Business Development and Community Relations
Increase admission rate through promotional and marketing initiatives by working closely with the Marketing / Corporate Communications department.
Monitor industry trends to enable effective benchmarking and learning from industry best practices.
Ensure development of up-to-date and accurate business intelligence on competitors and the operating environment.
Actively participate and encourage staff participation in parent-teacher and other community groups to develop cooperation, understanding, and respect for school objectives and endeavours.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and entities to ensure the smooth running of the school.
Ensure implementation and accept corporate responsibility for decisions made.
Academic Management
To promote a safe, stimulating and caring Early Years learning environment. Work closely with the team to provide high-quality care, to promote and maintain high standards of good professional practice.
To provide a resource-rich environment.
Develop a strong partnership with current and prospective students’ parents / guardians in supporting student development and learning.
Develop a school-wide behaviour management strategy.
Relate the educational objectives of the school to instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student learning outcomes.
Implementation and monitoring of the school’s learning policy.
Recognise and seek alternative learning solutions for students with behavioural or learning complications.
Work in close coordination with the academic team at the Regional Office (“RO”) to ensure that the school is meeting the required educational standards.
Coordinate with the school academic team to prepare for evaluations by the Regulators and the Regional Evaluation Team.
Oversee the procedure for the production of Schemes of Work and monitor the working standards of the academic team.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the curricula to provide feedback to the Academic Manager at RO.
Continually evaluate existing programmes and practices, curriculum content and piloting of experimental programmes.
Operations Management
Act as the administrative head of the school to ensure the timely dissemination of information to all concerned people / channels and ensure the smooth running of the school.
Determine the annual staffing requirements necessary and liaise with the Regional Office HR for the timely fulfilment of the same.
Evaluate periodically and ensure the school’s adherence to health, safety and civil codes.
Ensure repair and maintenance of the school’s infrastructure.
Take steps to enhance the collection of books in the school library in terms of variety and educational value, and improve fixtures.
Team Management
Interview, train, coach, and develop all staff members from custodians to teachers.
Ensure the provision of orientation to new teaching staff and provide them with opportunities to give input in academic programmes.
Professional development of staff, including, but not limited to, supervision and performance appraisal of school staff.
Identify and groom staff for administration and future responsibilities. Identify learning and training needs of employees and ensure that the relevant professional development activities are organised and participated.
Ensuring the proper staff rationalisation for the school, together with appropriate workload distribution for all staff members.
Any other task or project as assigned by the Management from time to time.
