Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager - Safety, Health, Environment & Compliance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety and health programs that ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The candidate will be responsible for the SHE & Compliance of the group, which requires travelling to all locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safety and health policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead training initiatives to promote a safety-first culture among all employees.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety and health protocols into operational practices.
• Oversee contractor management such as permit-to-work system, work authorization of contractors, job safety analysis and rules for contractors / visitors / transporters.
• Manage and coordinate SHE Steering Committee team and meetings. Ensure that all agreed actions are completed within deadlines.
• Ensure inventory of SHE items is maintained.
• Manage and mentor a team of Safety & Health Officers and OSH Coordinators, providing guidance and support in their roles.
• Work with the competent person as required for the location.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on safety performance and initiatives.
