Human Resources Manager / Assistant Manager (Mandarin Speaker)
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including job posting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
Collaborate with managers to plan and forecast manpower needs and maintain updated organization structures.
Administer monthly payroll, benefits, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) with accuracy and confidentiality.
Oversee attendance, overtime, leave, and allowance records through the HCMS system.
Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions in line with company policy and Malaysian labour laws.
Prepare and issue HR documents such as confirmation, warning, and termination letters, and liaise with authorities when required.
Coordinate performance appraisal exercises, KPI tracking, and performance-based rewards and recognition.
Conduct training needs analysis (TNA), plan development programs, and manage HRD Corp submissions and claims.
Review, develop, and enforce HR policies and employee handbook, ensuring compliance with labour regulations.
Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR reports (headcount, turnover, absenteeism, etc.).
Support HR audits, compliance reporting, and renewal of employee-related licenses or permits.
Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement, welfare activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 to 6 years of HR generalist experience , with at least 2 years in a leadership or assistant managerial role .
Strong understanding of Malaysian labour law, HR best practices, and IR procedures.
Experience in retail, automotive service, or multi-branch operations is highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS / payroll systems.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
High integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential matters.
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
