Job Purpose

a) To support VP and GPMO on the implementation, coordination, and future reporting of MFRS17 and any other new accounting standard within the MNRB group.

b) To support the VP and GPMO on monitoring RBC 2.0 and BNM ITSR implementation & on the readiness of Annual Financial Audit.

Job Responsibilities

a) Assist to manage and lead the implementation of MFRS17 projects for the MNRB Group and subsidiaries, which is inclusive but not limited to the following :

  • Understand the requirements for the implementation of MFRS17 and ensure timely submission of deliverables from the relevant stakeholders within the agreed timeline.
  • Lead the presentation and discussion of the deliverables of MNRB Group with various stakeholders (internal & external) in relation to MFRS17.
  • Ensure the standard operating procedures of MFRS17 and its documentation are in place and regularly reviewed for enhancement.
  • Understand and communicate business data requirements to be converted into user requirements for system enhancement.
  • Restructure MFRS17 key functional areas and reporting lines for the MNRB Group.
  • Develop an appropriate competency framework to align job requirements across key roles within the MNRB Group.

b) Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of RBC 2.0 and BNM ITSR in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

c) Oversee and monitor the readiness of Annual Financial Audit for the MNRB Group and subsidiaries.

d) Participate in process improvement, system automation projects and other tasks, as and when required.

e) Oversee the implementation, monitoring and reporting of any future new statutory requirements and accounting standard.

Key Results Areas

a) Implementation of MFRS 17 projects in accordance with the accounting standard and Board's requirement.

b) Implementation of RBC 2.0 and BNM ITSR in accordance with statutory requirement.

c) Promote the process improvement, system automation projects and other tasks, as and when required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting & Finance or Project Management, or any related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in financial institution (banking or insurance) especially on project management.
  • Experience in consulting or implementing MFRS17 projects will be an added value.
  • Good knowledge of finance reporting in insurance / takaful industry
