Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while meeting quality standards and delivery timelines. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with proven experience in managing production lines and driving continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules to meet company targets.
Review weekly and monthly production planning based on forecast and budget.Prepare and manage the annual production budget.Work with PPIC for raw material (RM) and packaging material (PM) planning.Collaborate with R&D for new product development (NPD) trial runs.Operations ManagementManage and lead the production team to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.Ensure adequate resources (manpower, machines, and materials) are available to meet production demands.Maintain and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for sprayer or packing lines.Review downtime, troubleshoot unplanned stoppages, and implement corrective actions.Drive initiatives to increase line capacity.Implement 5S and lean manufacturing practices on the production floor.Continuous Improvement & ProjectsDrive continuous improvement initiatives, including PDCA projects for annual cost savings.
Lead refurbishment and CAPEX projects from planning to execution.Oversee installation, commissioning, and operationalization of new machines.Lead process and equipment improvements to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.Collaborate with QA and Engineering teams on new projects and process enhancements.Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Work closely with the Food Safety team for FSSC certification and other regulatory requirements.Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in accordance with industry best practices.People Management & ReportingOversee training and development of production staff to build capability and efficiency.
Foster teamwork, motivate staff, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Prepare and analyze production reports for management review and decision-making.Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.5 years of working experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong leadership and people management skills.Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.Hands‑on experience managing diverse production lines.Proven track record in improving efficiency, reducing downtime, and implementing cost‑saving initiatives.Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong analytical and organizational skills.About the Company
