Intern - Business Intelligence

JOB ROLE & PURPOSE:

The Business Intelligence Intern who is eager to work across the data spectrum, unlocking the power of data, collaborating closely with the leadership team, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. This role will support the overall data management and business intelligence strategy and work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to acquire and process data, manage databases and data quality, analysing data, and providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Global Transactional Data Acquisition, Submission, and Quality Assurance

o Acquire weekly transactional data from source system

o Submit data to Global File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site

o Perform data quality assurance task by identifying and correcting detected data errors in the Global Data Quality Tool

Global Quarterly Financial Report Generation

o Export transactional data and perform data filtering to capture transaction data by Clients

o Populate data into Financial Report Template

o Submission of Quarterly Financial Report to the Finance Team

Business Intelligence Development Projects

o Design and build compelling data visualizations (dashboards, charts, infographics) to effectively communicate insights to diverse audiences.

o Translate complex data analysis into clear and concise narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership and business teams, influencing strategic decision-making.

General Support

o Safeguard and maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.

o Assist in trade shows and customer events (e.g., MAS Travel Fair, MATTA Fair, etc.).

o Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.

o Perform any other duties as assigned by the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree student in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.

· Exposure to data management tools, specifically in SQL language, with basic understanding of data lifecycle and data management principles.

· Exposure in performing data processing and data transformation tasks that includes but not limited to data cleansing, data enhancement, data enrichment,

· Exposure in utilizing data visualization tools such as Power BI.

· Adherence to ethical standards and commitment to upholding company values.
