Job Summary : The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing functions across a cluster of properties, driving revenue growth, achieving financial objectives, and ensuring exceptional guest and employee experiences. This role implements brand service strategies, develops and executes sales and marketing plans, and builds strong, value-based customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Leads Sales & Marketing teams to achieve revenue goals, both proactive and reactive.
Develops and executes sales strategies and marketing plans aligned with brand and property objectives.
Coaches departmental leaders to optimize revenue, market share, and customer engagement.
Monitors market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategies.
Revenue & Profitability Management
Reviews financial reports and monitors departmental performance against budget.
Ensures focus on proactive selling and maximizes occupancy, revenue, and profitability.
Participates in key sales calls, presentations, and client negotiations.
Marketing & Public Relations
Manages marketing budgets for property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral.
Develops and maintains community, public relations, and media initiatives.
Coordinates with regional marketing communications on regional and national campaigns.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
Acts as a customer advocate, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Develops and maintains long-term relationships with key clients and market stakeholders.
Participates in and supports brand standards, service initiatives, and guest satisfaction goals.
Human Resource & Team Development
Hires, coaches, and develops team members, providing guidance on sales strategies and performance.
Conducts performance reviews, sets goals, and holds team accountable for results.
Encourages collaboration, innovation, and professional growth among team members.
Qualifications & Experience
2-year degree + 4 years’ experience OR 4-year bachelor’s degree + 2 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Hospitality.
Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial acumen.
Proven ability to drive revenue growth and manage marketing initiatives.
Execution : Planning, organizing, team building, and driving results.
Relationships : Customer and coworker engagement, global mindset.
Technical & Business Acumen : Sales strategy, marketing execution, revenue management, and performance analysis.
Basic Skills : Computer literacy, numerical reasoning, and effective oral and written communication.
