Our client is a leading healthcare company committed to improving people’s wellbeing through trusted, high-quality products. They are seeking a Category Manager to lead category strategy, insights, and execution to drive sustainable growth across key retail channels. We’re looking for a strategic and data-driven Category Manager to lead category planning, insights, and execution across channels. You will be responsible for developing strategies in product assortment, pricing, promotions, merchandising, and space management to drive category growth and profitability. This role requires strong collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and key retail partners to deliver sustainable business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Strategy & Insights
- Analyze market, shopper, and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Develop 1–3 year category roadmaps with clear priorities and action plans.
- Define in-store fundamentals and translate insights into effective merchandising and promotional tactics.
- Partner with Sales to develop customer-specific shopper strategies and category recommendations.
- Category Leadership
- Build strong partnerships with key customers to drive mutual, profitable growth.
- Lead category and range reviews, ensuring the company is positioned as a trusted category expert.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations on assortment, pricing, and promotions to key stakeholders.
- Own the 12-month trade category plan, including POP, pricing, promotions, and visibility.
- Pricing, Promotions & Range Management
- Establish pricing and promotional frameworks aligned with company and customer objectives.
- Monitor competitive activity, evaluate promotion effectiveness, and recommend optimization.
- Conduct SKU and range analyses to optimize product mix and shelf performance.
- Provide merchandising and planogram recommendations based on shopper insights.
- Performance & Budget Management
- Manage shopper marketing budgets and category-channel performance dashboards.
- Lead monthly business reviews with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to track progress and identify improvement areas.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing , or related field.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Category Management , Trade Marketing , or Channel Marketing within FMCG.Strong understanding of category drivers—pricing, promotion, assortment, and merchandising.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools .Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills.Details
