PURPOSE

The Purchasing Executive is responsible for executing all strategic sourcing, procurement, and inventory planning activities for the Beauty and Confectionery categories within our Duty-Free Retail environment. This role is central to achieving the company's financial and commercial objectives by ensuring optimal product availability, maximizing profitability through cost reduction, and managing working capital efficiently.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation

• Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including the identification and evaluation of new local and overseas suppliers to secure competitive advantages and the best commercial outcome for the organization in product quality, value, and fulfilment.
• Conduct market intelligence on price trends, supply availability, and competitive landscapes to inform and execute effective pricing negotiation strategies .
• Proactively manage and reduce product costs and improve overall profitability through strategic negotiation of procurement terms, including increasing Accounts Payable to optimize working capital .

Interpersonal & Communication Skill - Clear and effective communication with both external & internal stakeholders and external.

Business Acumen - To manage inventory levels, to ensure that the organisation has the necessary goods and services on hand to meet demand.

Financial Acumen - Understanding of how purchasing decisions impact the company's bottom line is crucial. Managing costs, optimizing budgets, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Analytical Skill - Capability to analyze market trends, supplier performance, and pricing data to make informed purchasing decisions.
