Coordinate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and the main contractor to ensure project goals are met.
Create and manage project schedules for timely completion.
Oversee daily site operations to ensure construction adheres to plans and specifications.
Monitor the quality of work and materials to meet project standards.
Identify and solve technical issues that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Manage all safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, material usage, and workforce deployment.
Prepare regular reports on project progress, site conditions, and any issues encountered.
Manage project documentation, such as drawings, permits, and inspection records.
Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials to the site.
Ensure construction equipment is properly maintained and utilized efficiently.
Supervise and coordinate the workforce on site, including the main contractor and subcontractors.
Report to the project manager and liaise with clients, consultants, and the main contractor.
Conduct site surveys and set out construction works.
Perform technical tasks such as levelling, measuring, and testing.
Interpret and apply engineering drawings and specifications.
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field) or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experiences (for entry-level positions, internship or coop experience in construction may be sufficient). Experience working on construction sites or in a related engineering role (additional years required for mid-senior level positions).
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit).
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Strong organizational and planning abilities.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that arise on-site.
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to visit and inspect various construction sites, which may require climbing, lifting, and walking in different weather conditions.
Willingness to travel to different project sites as needed.
