IT Engineer - Virtual desktop infrastructure

We are looking for IT Engineers to elevate our Application Operation team and help us deliver cutting-edge technology and shape the digital future for Oil and Gas, Renewables and Ocean Industries. This role involves ensuring the availability, performance, and security of virtual infrastructure, while contributing proactively to process and system improvements.

The role will be part of our shift coverage, with normal working time being 5AM –13PM.

Work tasks and responsibilities

• Virtualization Management : Manage virtual environments using VMware, Hyper‑V, or other virtualization platforms. Optimize and troubleshoot virtual infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Manage virtual machine (VM) lifecycle, including provisioning, cloning, snapshot management, and decommissioning.
• System Administration : Perform regular system maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups. Ensure the security of virtual and storage environments by implementing best practices and security policies. Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Technical 3rd Line Support : Provide technical support and troubleshooting for virtualization and storage systems. Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions. Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Performance Optimization : Monitor and analyze system performance, implementing optimizations to enhance efficiency. Develop and maintain capacity planning strategies to anticipate and meet future demands. Utilize performance metrics and reporting tools to maintain optimal system operations.
