Welder cum Warehouse Assistant

This position is responsible for the efficient operation, organization, and safety of the warehouse. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting operational projects. A key responsibility is the cannibalization and scrapping of equipment to optimize asset utilization, as well as welding stainless-steel items, contributing to significant cost savings for the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Equipment Management

Cannibalize usable components from write-off equipment to reduce procurement costs.

Manage the scrap process for obsolete equipment with proper documentation and record keeping ensuring compliance.

2. Project Support

Oversee quick-fix fabrication tasks at restaurant sites for kitchen projects, ensuring minimal operational downtime.

Provide technical support for ad hoc project requirements.

3. Warehouse Operations

Operate forklifts safely and effectively for the storage, movement, and organization of heavy equipment.

Conduct monthly stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with QSCH standards in the warehouse.

4. Specialized Skills

Perform welding of stainless-steel items to support store requirements and reducing outsourcing needs.

5. Compliance & Safety

Ensure all warehouse activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Promote safe handling practices and compliance with company policies.

REQUIREMENTS

SKM certification in fabrication, welding, technical studies, or related field.

Willingness to be trained in forklift operation (certifications a plus).

Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and technical equipment preferred.

Good communication, record-keeping, and team collaboration skills.

Strong attention to detail, discipline, and willingness to learn.

Physical ability to handle warehouse and field work.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Facility environment.
